Complaint and Reporting
Our members are set specific clinical and ethical guidance according to their professional competencies. We expect our members to practice within safe parameters and not take on any activities that will harm the patient or the integrity of the profession.
We, therefore, take any complaint against any of our members very seriously. If you have any concerns about any of our members of clinical competency or are aware of any ethical misdemeanours, we encourage you to report this to us, using the link provided. We will thoroughly investigate all complaints. Once we have carried out an internal investigation, we will inform you of the outcome of our investigation. If and when required we may report this member to the relevant authorities.
Once you have reported a member we will immediately investigate your concerns. All complaints will be dealt with anonymously protecting your identity. An investigation can take from a few weeks to a few months. All relevant parties will be notified of the final outcome. If a member is found guilty, single or a combination of the following four actions will be sanctioned against him/her.
A. Order to Re-train or Re-educate
B. Temporary Suspension
C. Permanent Suspension
D. Report to the Anticriminal Authorities
